Starting in 2026, the elected representatives will work with our advisor, Danske Lejere to determine the next steps. This includes formalizing the structure of the new representations and clarifying how they will operate going forward.
Your representatives will keep you informed as the process unfolds. We will also provide updates on what will happen with the current residents’ association now that the building-level representations have been created.
Â
A tenant representation is a legally recognized body under the Danish Rent Act that gives tenants the right to:
Elect tenant representatives to speak and negotiate on behalf of their building.
Require transparency from the landlord regarding issues such as utilities, maintenance, and common costs.
Access professional legal and administrative support through Danske Lejere (The Danish Tenants’ Association) — without any extra payment for individual legal aid.
This is an important step forward for strengthening tenants’ rights and cooperation within UN17 Village.
